Ingus Zvirgzdiņš, Head of the finance department
“I knew about the AM Furnitura almost since its beginning. During the summer I worked at the company whose premises were next to the AMF. Eventually in AMF my father started to work. AMF director who knew that I was studying at the Faculty of Economics and Management offered me to try to make financial analysis of AMF. It seems that he was satisfied with the results and soon after that he offered me a job vacancy.” In 2002 Ingus joined the AMF team as a Credit Expert. He demonstrated his skills and when got the bachelor’s degree in economics he also got promoted as a head of finance department in 2004.
Ingus is in charge of enterprise’s financial operation, of planning the budget, he also has to follow its implementation and also he is in charge of other small jobs that are related to financial calculations and reports.
What has attracted Ingus to our enterprise for so many years?
- “First of all it is stability. During all these years while I am working here the salary has never been late. In addition, all these years the enterprise has steadily grown and developed. Second of all we have a good reward system which includes both competitive salary and extra benefits. Third of all it is collective. It is hard to find an employee who would have anything bad to say about his colleagues. And there is also a pleasant small matter- we have our leisure activities at least 4 times a year.”
Jorens Gredzens, Depositary manager
Jorens began to work with us in 2004 and from the very beginning as a depositary employee. “I came here because of my acquaintances. If there were not be any opportunities to develop I probably would have gone away already after sex months. Four years ago there were not many companies who offer all social guarantees, at least in the work that is related to depositary.”
With his energy, presence of mind and active activity, in 2006 he began to work in a store as a commodity expert. A year later due the growth of the enterprise there was a new job vacancy- technician- stylist and Jorens as a creative person was the most suitable. Now Jorens is working as a manager of the depositary.

Māris Ziemelis, Assistant of the Sales specialist
2005 Māris was recommended by his friend for this job and as well as Jorens Māris started his work as a depositary employee in AMF. He got promoted as a salesman-consultant in year 2006 when he duly got title as a Best employee of the AMF. This year for his responsiveness and industrious working Māris got promotion as a assistant of the Sales specialist. His duties include serving the client, to be informed about the product assortment.
About his job Māris says: “It is stable enterprise with the opportunities to develop and in addition there is a very friendly collective.”
Gatis Celmiņš, Purchasing specialist for BLUM product group
Gatis came to us in 2005 by reference to the job advertisement which he found in the Internet. There was a competition for the job vacancy as a marketing specialist. “I did not stand the competition but I got a job as a sales- man in the shop.”
During the year Gatis was able to show himself as a professional, friendly and trusted employee and therefore he took up the post of assistant of marketing specialist. This year Gatis is already working as a purchasing specialist fro BLUM products. His duties include designing and planning orders from Blum fittings, to organize training to marketing employees and clients about Blum products and to establish pricing policy to dealers in Latvia and the rest of the market and to analyze and monitor the market situation in Latvia.
Gatis work at AMF because “here is great collective and work environment, social guarantees. Here are opportunities to develop; You only have to work hard and in good faith.”
Laura Liepājniece, Specialist of BLUM products
Although Laura works in AMF only for one and a half year, she has proved herself as a very loyal and well- informed employee. Thus from the sales- woman in a shop “Mēbeļu Furnitūra” she has gone to the specialist of Blum products.
In this enterprise I got with the help of my friends but I did not know about it before. And phrase- set of furniture- was as alien as a Chinese alphabet. Initially while I had my training it was hard but what would have thought- I kind of started to like hinges, runners and lifting mechanisms. Now it all seems funny. This Chinese alphabet is not so complicated and the phrase “set of furniture” one does not have to be afraid of.
Currently Laura is the one who works only with the BLUM products. Her duties include all wide range of BLUM products. Her responsibilities are to prepare materials for new items which will be introduced in the sale and to transfer this information with the interested parties.
About the working conditions Laura says:
